The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service yesterday flew another 15-year-old Crescent Head girl injured in the blaze to The Children's Hospital at Westmead suffering partial thickness burns to her face, neck, arms, hands, chest and feet.

She was placed on a ventilator and is in a serious condition.

Police from Mid North Coast Local Area Command who are investigating said a large number of campers came to the aid of the injured.

They gave first aid until help arrived.

Specialist police officers were examining the camp site yesterday.

Tony Delforce said the family often camped at Limeburners Creek Nature Reserve.
