Runescape All of the guides of Top1gaming

RuneScape is a Java-based MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) operated by Jagex Ltd. It has approximately five million active free accounts and more than one million paid member accounts.
RuneScape was created by Andrew Gower, the creator of DeviousMUD, the forerunner to RuneScape, in 1998. Rewritten and renamed, the first version of RuneScape was released to the public on 4 January 2001. Since its release, the game has been noted for its free-playing option, its simple interface, and its accessibility on most web browsers. RuneScape takes place in the fantasy-themed realm of Gielinor, which is divided into several different kingdoms, regions, and cities. Players can travel throughout Gielinor on foot, by using magical teleportation spells and devices, or mechanical means of transportation. Each region offers different types of monsters, materials, and quests to challenge players.
Like many other MMORPGs, there is no linear path that must be followed. Players are shown on the screen as customizable avatars, setting their own goals and objectives. Players can engage in combat with other players or monsters, complete quests, or increase their experience in any of the available skills. Players interact with each other through trading, chatting, or playing combative or cooperative mini-games.

RuneSpace guides:
City Area Guides
Guild Guides
Mini Quests
Quests
Special Reports
Skill
Download All of the guides:

Australia's Office of Film and Literature Classification has refused to give Fallout 3 an age rating. This will prevent the sale and distibution of Bethesda's highly-anticipated post-apocalyptic RPG in the country.

The organization's website listed the game's classification as RC (refused classification) on July 4, and while no particular reasons were given for the refused classification, Fallout 3 does contain drug use and violence. It is also worth mentioning that Australia is known for its strict rating system, especially when it comes to videogames. While movies can receive 18+ age ratings, videogames are capped off at 15+. Games like Manhunt, Reservoir Dogs, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and others were refused classification in their original states but game companies are allowed to censor its products for reclassification. Developer Digital Extreme recently censored and resubmitted its Dark Sector game, which was approved with a 15+ classification earlier this week.

No word, yet on how Bethesda will react. Hopefully we'll find out more when we get our hands on with the game at this years upcoming E3, which kicks off on July 15.

Think Services Game Group, organizers of the Austin Game Developers Conference, announced its first keynote, industry veteran Jason Page who will deliver a speech titled "Is That It? Next Gen Audio." Page, audio manager at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's Research & Development division, has worked on notable titles including Cool Boarders 2 and Gran Turismo, and has been instrumental in the development of the PlayStation 3 audio SDK libraries adopted by developers worldwide. Austin GDC will take place Sept. 15-17 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.

Staying true to the theme of Austin GDC's audio track, "Breaking out of the Loop," Page will uncover how an informed perspective can help all game developers realize the integral role of game audio, and how audio specialists can look beyond the constraints of their tired methods of development to produce the next cutting edge tracks and sound effects for games. In a year when "next generation" platforms have increasingly asserted themselves as mainstream, Page's keynote will delve into the potential of these newer platforms and discuss what developers can expect from them. He will also discuss what can be learned from the methods and tools of the pro audio market adapted for game developers.

"We are very excited to welcome Jason Page to this year's Austin GDC," said conference director, Izora de Lillard. "The audio track's theme 'Breaking Out of the Loop' resonates with this year's overall message of bringing forth progressive and out-of-the box ideas to allow our attendees to level up their skills and 'Evolve to Win' in the industry."

Joining Page at the conference will be a number of featured speakers also breaking the loop in terms of technique, tools, and thoughts on the future of game audio. Such speakers include Austin Wintory, composer of fl0w, Kurt Larson Audio Director of Slipgate Ironworks speaking on "A Generative, Adaptive Music System for MMO Games," and Chris Grigg head of Standards, MMA/Beatnik discussing three brand new non-proprietary audio standards for audio technology: 3D MIDI Controllers, the High Definition (HD) Protocol for MIDI, and Interactive XMF (iXMF).

In addition to game audio, the Austin GDC features tracks on writing and online games covering business & marketing, design, social networking & community, as well as technology and services. The conference will house over 100 sessions and lectures, a nearly sold-out expo floor; as well as play host to the Worlds in Motion Summit, an Independent Games Festival Showcase, and the Game Career Seminar. Attendees can meet, network, and plan their schedule ahead of time via myGDC, the Game Developers Conference official professional networking resource.

The Game Factory, an international publisher of video games, is looking to hire a time-wasting slacker who will do nothing but play video games and solve a Rubik's Cube on company time. The search to fill the "King of Cubicles" position starts today, to celebrate the launch of The Game Factory's Rubik's World game for Nintendo Wii and DS this fall.

Wasting time is the sole on-the-job responsibility of the "King of Cubicles," and The Game Factory is offering the following compensation package for the qualified applicant:

- An annual salary of $7,326 (based on a national survey of slacker salaries)

- The Game Factory branded electric car (because this person is obviously smart enough to protect the environment)

- Snazzy business cards (because this person will need to hand out a phone number when ladies ask about his cool ride)

- Nintendo Wii console (so this person can get their "game on" on the job)

- The Game Factory Rubik's World video game for the Nintendo Wii and DS systems

"The new King of Cubicles needs to be a person of substance, a real out-of-the-box thinker, and someone who can waste time like a pro. I don't mean waste a few hours. Anyone can do that. The King of Cubicles must have the ability to waste weeks – months even," said Stainslaw Callahan, the current King of Cubicles who will be interviewing his replacement candidates. "Whoever replaces me will have big shoes to fill, but I'm confident the right candidate will come along."

This is a one-year contract position at The Game Factory, where the new hire will "work" from home. Since this job comes with absolutely no responsibility, the new King of Cubicles will be paid monthly and receive job perks, all in exchange for going on with life as usual. This person can continue to go to school, or work, or do absolutely nothing with their lives, and they will still receive all of the benefits of being the King of Cubicles.

Interested applicants can apply at www.kingofcubicles.com and should be prepared to participate in an interactive online interview with Callahan. Applicants who make it through the tough interview questions will be invited to submit a video resume. The best videos will be voted on by the public, which will help The Game Factory decide who will be the next "King of Cubicles." Applicants must be over 18 years old and the winning applicant will be announced Jan. 1, 2009.

Rubik's World

Rubik's World will be offered for Nintendo Wii and DS and is based on the classic "Rubik's Cube" puzzle of the 80's. The game is a collection of extremely addictive, easy-to-play puzzle games, increasing in difficulty as players delve deeper into this 3D world. Each version of Rubik's World will host its own unique and original series of games, where players test their brainpower by constructing 3D shapes and objects, navigating through mazes and even creating their own soundtracks. The DS version allows players to connect to a community of Rubik's World enthusiasts through the platform's wireless connection, while the Wii version accommodates up to four players and features an online message board.

Wii Gets Photo Printing Service in Japan

The latest Wii Channel.

By John Tanaka

Nintendo added a new Channel to the Japanese Wii interface today. Joining the growing lineup of non-game tools for the system is the Wii Digital Camera Print Channel, a channel that lets users print pictures and more.

With the new channel installed, Wii owners will be able to select digital pictures to be printed and delivered at a cost of 30 yen per print. The channel also assists in creating a Wii Photo Book, a special photo album that's available in multiple sizes, with costs ranging from 1,575 yen to 2,480 yen.

Even more closely related to the Wii is the channel's Wii Business Card service. Users select one of six templates featuring Nintendo characters, add either a real life photograph or a Mii, and finalize their cards with the requisite details, like address, phone number, or even Wii friend code. Printing costs run 500 yen for a set of 30 cards.

Fuji Film is working with Nintendo for this physical part of this channel. On top of the costs listed above, users will have to pay shipping fees at rates of 500 yen for express and 200 yen for standard mail.

As with the other Wii Channels, Nintendo has global plans for the new channel. Wii owners in North America and European markets can look forward to similar print services in the near future.

The Last Guy Dated in Japan

Mystery title arrives on July 31 overseas.

By John Tanaka

Following a mysterious teaser unveiling a couple of weeks back, Sony Japan has at long last shared specifics on its newest PlayStation 3 title, The Last Guy, or as it's fully known in Japan, The Last Guy Japan Premium.

In The Last Guy Japan Premium, you play as Last Guy, who's come from the Himalayas to save the people of Asakusa, one of Tokyo's hot tourist spots, from attacking zombies. Your job is simple: find people remaining in the Asakusa area and lead them to special escape zones.

As suggested in the original teaser trailer from two weeks back, the game makes use of real life aerial photos of the Asakusa area. Judging by the few screenshots Sony handed out today and the new trailer video that was posted at the game's official site, gameplay appears to be viewed from a strictly overhead perspective.

The Last Guy Japan Premium hits the Japanese PlayStation Store on July 31 at 500 yen. The download will take up 314 megabytes on your hard disk.

Other installments for the game appear to be on the way. The trailer footage at the official site hints at zombie infestations in other areas of the world, including The Opera House in Sydney.
