我能想到最浪漫的事——临睡前想起还没杀蚊子。喷完雷达我不得不抱着电脑跑阳台上去。呵呵，听着虫叫蛙鸣、赏着点点繁星，就一个字——惬意

Eaton responds to China's earthquake catastrophe

The devastating earthquake that struck the Sichuan Province of China on May 12 has necessitated a massive humanitarian effort as search and rescue efforts continue for an estimated 40,000 buried or missing people across the province. The earthquake, which was of a magnitude of 7.9, has destroyed an estimated 4 million homes, and more than 15 million people live in the affected area. While no Eaton facilities have been impacted, some Eaton employees in China have suffered the loss of their homes.

To support the humanitarian efforts underway, Eaton has pledged US$25,000 to the Chinese Red Cross. In addition, Eaton will match employees' gifts to the Red Cross and other relief organizations.

Employees who wish to make donations and have their gifts matched by Eaton should use the following processes:

U.S. employees should use the on-line gift matching form. Click on the following link if you would like to contribute through the Eaton Matching Gift Program. Print and complete PART A of the form (specify "for disaster relief" on the Special Purposes line). Your local human resources manager will complete PART B. Send the completed form along with your gift to your designated organization.

Employees outside the U.S. should forward a receipt, indicating the amount they contributed to the relief organization, to their local HR representative. Local HR managers should create a list of contributors and the total amount contributed and send it to the Corporate Public and Community Affairs department. The department will work with local controllers to make the matching contribution.

生活中没有几个让我痛恨得不行的人，但不喜欢的人倒有一些：

天稍有点阴就带伞的人；头刚有点痛就吃药的人。

遇到争论不敢表态的人。

自己没有把握赢的运动或游戏就不玩的人。

见了面总提和你关系如何如何好的人。

谈起各级领导如数家珍的人。

在台上发言，满嘴“报纸话”的领导。三个这个四个那个，全是真理也全是废话，能把“我说两句”说成两百句，还自以为这才是水平。

有高学历高职称，却和文化这个词一点儿都不沾边儿的人。

把自己在单位政治学习会议上的发言稿，或学习上级文件的心得体会收到个人作品集里的人。

酒场上，毫不顾及别人的酒量和心情，用一大堆成套的酒磕儿劝酒的人。

死乞白赖劝女人喝酒的男人；喝一次醉一次的男人；一辈子都没喝醉过一次的男人。

从来都靠感觉判断的女人；从来都不靠感觉判断的女人。

敢在众人面前讲黄段子的女人。

喜欢穿貂皮的女人。

买东西“不求最好，只求最贵”的人；以为不喝茶水只喝咖啡就是小资的人。

Over the last 9 months I have had the privilege of meeting many of you across the region. I have had an opportunity to listen to what you have to say about the business and also what our customers have to say - as a result I have learned a lot. I have been impressed with the passion and dedication that everyone has for growing our business in the region and doing business right. I want to thank you for a great performance in 2007 and also an outstanding set of results in the 1st quarter of 2008!

We have great things going on in every country as a result of your efforts - a world class safety record and vastly improved financial performance in Japan, tremendous growth in China and India with wins at major Construction, Wind power and AG customers, the successful penetration of the Palm Oil segment in South East Asia, launch of EPAKs (rapid Power unit design) and major wins in the mining segment in Australia, Major Steel Mill and Machine tool wins in Korea against established competitors. We have also been investing in the business to support growth - we have approval for a new Hose spiral line in Singapore, Grinding equipment in Japan and local Assembly and Test for Heavy Duty and Hydrocraft pumps in China.

I met with many of your leaders in January of this year to start chalking out our 5 high level stretch goals to be achieved in the year 2010.

I believe very strongly in teamwork and am looking forward to working together with all of you. Let’s continue to do everything we possibly can to make Hydraulics and Asia Pacific the most admired organization in our industry!

我们通过了ELSS、EBE的审核，大家都很开心，但在高兴的同时，我发现大家在工作中多多少少发生了一些不愉快。看看下面的故事，也许对每个人都会有所启发

从前有一个尼姑跟一个屠夫是好朋友
　　尼姑天天早上要起来念经
　　而屠夫天天要起来杀猪
　　为了不耽误他们早上的工作
　　于是他们约定互相叫对方起床
　　多年以后....
　　尼姑与屠夫相继去逝了
　　屠夫去上天堂了
