<div class="content"><strong>线缆性能测试</strong></div>
<div class="content" style="TEXT-INDENT: 21pt">布线人员对TIA-568或ISO-11801布线标准都很熟悉。线缆认证设备，如：IDEAL公司的LANTEK认证测试仪，可按上述标准在频域范围内对电缆进行测试。通过认证测试，能得到被测线缆在给定频率范围内，能否支持所由协议的通信能力。对某些集成商来说，这种等级的测试是过度严格的，因为布线人员不必了解何种设备会用于网络。</div>
<div class="content" style="TEXT-INDENT: 21pt">例如，某网络已被认证可满足5e类性能，能支持10/100/1000M以太网、155MATM、RS-485、RS-232及更多应用。但更多情况下，民用或商用网络中，只使用以太网设备。</div>
<div class="content" style="TEXT-INDENT: 21pt">SIGNALTEK采用IEEE802.3ab(1000M以太网)标准为测试依据，对线缆性能进行测试，而不是按传统的基于频率参数（例如：近端串扰、回波损耗）的认证测试。性能测试或称质量测试，是一种误码率测试（BERT）。数据包在线缆中传输至远端设备然后返回到测试设备的主机，并得到线缆性能的瞬时报告。线缆性能测试按IEEE802.3ab标准，在规定时间内计算误码率，并据此标记测试的&ldquo;合格&rdquo;&ldquo;不合格&rdquo;。</div>
<div class="content" style="TEXT-INDENT: 21pt">IEEE（电气电子工程师委员会）建立了一套标准，评判软/硬件在不同介质上的性能。不同于EIA/TIA标准中规定的线缆对不同通信协议的极限值，IEEE使用实际协议，802规定如下传输协议：</div>

<div class="content"><strong>线缆类型</strong></div>
<div class="content" style="TEXT-INDENT: 21pt">SIGNALTEK能兼容多种线缆类型和配置。线缆性能测试可在任意支持以太网的双绞线上进行。由于10/100M以太网要使用2对线，那些只有1对线的电缆，例如同轴电缆，不能进行以太网性能测试。</div>
<div class="content" style="TEXT-INDENT: 21pt">进行线缆性能测试时，考虑以太网对物理层的要求很重要。如果线缆不是采用兼容以太网方式的，由于不能建立以太网链路，SIGNALTEK无法进行性能测试。</div>
